1. What reoXapp is
reoXapp is a software tool that reads architectural and engineering plans you upload and automatically generates an estimated reinforcing steel bar mark schedule, mesh and accessory list, and related quantity outputs ("Outputs"). The Service is offered as:
- Subscription plans (Standard, Premium, Premium Plus) — recurring monthly access with a monthly upload allowance, billed via Stripe.
- Casual one-off purchases — a single paid takeoff, no account required, including one free correction re-run of that same job.
- Free Tools — the Bar Weight Calculator and Stair Reinforcement Calculator, available without payment or an account.
reoXapp is currently built and tested for house slab takeoffs (conventional slab-on-ground and waffle-pod slab systems), shed slabs, retaining walls, pools, and other small-scale takeoffs. Multi-level structures are not yet supported.
2. Automated estimation only — not professional engineering advice
All bar mark schedules, cut and bend lists, mesh requirements, accessory quantities, and cost estimates generated by reoXapp are automated estimations produced from the plans and information you provide. reoXapp is an assistive digital tool. It does not constitute, and is not a substitute for, professional structural engineering, quantity surveying, or steel detailing services. Outputs are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
reoXapp's accuracy depends entirely on the clarity, scale, resolution, and completeness of the documents you upload. We do not guarantee accurate extraction when handling hand-drawn sketches, low-resolution scans, incomplete plan sets, uncalibrated scales, ambiguous notation, or non-standard drafting conventions. It is your responsibility to upload plans that are clear, correctly scaled, and complete, and to answer any items reoXapp flags for review to the best of your ability.
3. Your responsibility to verify
It is entirely at your discretion, as the subscriber or purchaser, whether any Output is used, relied on, or acted on. reoXapp can make errors from time to time, like any automated system, and accepts no responsibility for any takeoff you or anyone else considers incorrect, incomplete, or in need of adjustment. Outputs are not pre-certified for structural integrity or regulatory compliance. Before ordering material, fabricating, or placing any steel based on an Output, you (or the qualified structural engineer, steel detailer, or contractor engaged on the project) must thoroughly and independently review and confirm:
- Bar marks, designations, and quantities
- Cut lengths, bend shapes, and hook dimensions
- Lap lengths, anchorage lengths, and development lengths
- Mesh, bar chairs, spacers, and accessory quantities
- Compliance with the applicable structural standards for the project (including AS/NZS 4671, AS 3600, or other applicable codes)
As with any automated tool, we recommend every takeoff be checked over by someone who understands reinforcing steel detailing and can confirm it's correct — or fix what isn't — before it's used for production or quoting. Final responsibility for material procurement, fabrication verification, and site placement rests solely with you and the qualified professionals engaged on your project — not with reoXapp, at any time.
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account. Staff accounts used to review and confirm takeoffs are separate from customer accounts and are not available to the public.
5. Your uploaded content
You retain all rights in the plans and documents you upload. By uploading a document, you confirm you're authorised to use it for the purpose of generating a takeoff (for example, because you're the project's builder, contractor, owner, or have the relevant permission). We use your uploaded documents solely to generate your Outputs and to provide customer support in connection with your job — see our Privacy Policy for how uploaded documents and job data are processed and stored.
6. Accounting integrations (Xero)
Where available on your plan, you may connect your own Xero organisation so invoices you create in reoXapp are pushed straight into it, with their payment status read back automatically. This feature is optional, off by default, and operates under your own authority over your own Xero account — you authorise the connection yourself, directly with Xero, using your own Xero login, and each subscriber's connection is kept entirely separate from every other subscriber's. See our Privacy Policy for what's stored and shared as part of this connection.
You're responsible for your own Xero organisation's settings — its chart of accounts, tax rates, and contact records — that invoices are pushed into. reoXapp applies a general default sales account code to each line and lets Xero calculate GST using your organisation's own configured tax rate, but doesn't manage, audit, or verify your Xero setup on your behalf, and doesn't check whether an invoice you're about to send already exists in Xero under a different number. You can disconnect at any time from your account's Invoices tab, or directly within Xero. This integration is provided on an "as is" basis, consistent with section 2 above, and reoXapp isn't responsible for outages, data loss, or errors originating from Xero's own service.
7. Pricing and payment
All prices displayed on reoXapp are in Australian dollars and include GST. reoXapp is currently in Beta, and prices shown may be discounted introductory rates — where that's the case, this is clearly noted. If you're an active subscriber when a price changes, your existing price is held for as long as your subscription continues; a price change only applies to new sign-ups and upgrades from that point.
Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. reoXapp does not receive or store your full card details. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled; you can cancel or change your plan at any time from your account's subscription management page, effective at the end of the current billing period. A casual one-off purchase is a single payment for a single takeoff (plus one free correction re-run of that job).
8. Refunds and consumer guarantees
If a takeoff contains errors traceable to how reoXapp read your plans, the primary remedy is a free correction re-run of that job using your clarified answers to any flagged items — for casual one-off purchases, one such re-run is included; for subscribers, you can re-run a job at any time within your plan's usage allowance. Beyond this, refunds for subscription fees and casual one-off purchases are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not automatic for a simple change of mind, but we'll always assess a request in line with your consumer guarantee rights.
To request a refund or raise a service issue, contact us using the details in section 16.
9. Usage limits and fair use
Each subscription plan has a monthly upload allowance (measured in plan file size). Usage resets on your own billing anniversary. Attempting to circumvent usage limits, share a single account across multiple unrelated businesses, or use the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure may result in suspension.
10. Prohibited uses
You must not use reoXapp to:
- Upload material you don't have the right to use, or that's unlawful, infringing, or malicious (including malware);
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models, prompts, or source code behind the Service;
- Interfere with or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to bypass payment, authentication, or usage-limit controls;
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written agreement.
11. Intellectual property
reoXapp's software, branding, calculators, reference tables, and website content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own takeoff work. You retain ownership of your own uploaded plans and of the Outputs generated for your own jobs, and may use those Outputs for your project as you see fit.
12. Limitation of liability
reoXapp accepts no responsibility or accountability for the accuracy of any Output at any time. Whether a given takeoff is used, relied on, or acted on is entirely your decision, not ours. We take reasonable, industry-standard steps to protect the information and data you provide us — encrypted connections, password hashing, and access controls limiting who can view customer data — but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Subject to section 8 above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, reoXapp, its owners, and affiliates are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including (without limitation) costs from incorrect material orders, fabrication errors or re-fabrication, material overages or shortages, site delays or standing time, or structural or regulatory non-compliance arising from reliance on an Output that wasn't independently verified as required by section 3.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service or cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, use the Service unlawfully, or where we reasonably believe continuing to provide the Service would expose us to legal or security risk. Where reasonably practicable, we'll give you notice first.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the Service or in the law. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use reoXapp after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute arising under these terms is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
16. Contact us
