Quick answer
reoXapp reads a waffle pod slab plan and produces a schedule covering rib bars, edge and internal beam reinforcement, corner bars, slab mesh, and the pod accessories.
Anything it cannot read confidently is flagged as a question for you to confirm, so nothing is silently assumed.
What a waffle pod takeoff includes
- Rib reinforcement in each direction of the pod grid
- Edge beam and internal beam bars, ligatures and Z-bars
- Corner, T and L intersection bars
- Slab mesh (for example SL82) and trench mesh
- EPS pods, 4-way and 2-way spacers and podrails, calculated from the pod layout
- Chairs and other accessories
Why waffle pod takeoffs are easy to get wrong
Pods only cover part of the slab, ribs run in both directions, and corners and intersections are counted from the footing layout. A takeoff that assumes the whole slab is pods, or misses a rib direction or the corner bars, will over- or under-order. That is why reoXapp shows where each item was read from and flags anything ambiguous, and why you should still check the schedule before you order.

FAQ
Can reoXapp do a takeoff for a waffle pod slab?
Yes. It handles waffle pod slabs including rib bars, edge beams, corner bars, mesh, pods, spacers and podrails, and conventional slabs, footings, retaining walls, driveways and pools.
How are pods counted?
From the pod layout on the plans: the pod grid dimensions or net pod area, not the whole slab, since real waffle pod slabs always have solid areas. If the layout is unclear the takeoff flags it for you to confirm.
Should I check the result?
Yes. Review the schedule against your plans before ordering. Each item cites where it came from, and you can re-run the takeoff after answering any flags.
